Archivists at the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) announce the opening of the Ottokar Hahn Collection and the publication of its related inventory.
Mr Hahn was a German politician and lawyer who served for several years in Brussels in the 1970s and 1980s, first in the European Community’s Cabinet for Economics and Finance, and subsequently as Director for Credit and Investments of the Commission of the European Union. Later in his career, Hahn also was Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation.
The collection reflects Hahn’s commitment to Europe through press clippings, speeches and photographs. It also includes some informative materials on the seat of the Delegation of the European Union to Russia’s headquarters in Moscow, as well as tributes to Hahn's involvement in politics and culture.
The collection is open for consultation here.
