In this event, Arianna Crosera (EUI) and Alena Yarmak (EUI) discuss their PhD projects and provide two additional and less explored points of view on the law surrounding AI and its life-cycle. We will first look at the infrastructure sustaining the development of AI systems - data-centres - from the point of view of environmental law, to explore their environmental impact and the upcoming EU legislation through the lenses of fieldwork. We will then discuss the topic of AI outputs and Intellectual Property Law. Our talks will decode the latest regulation standing between these interfaces.
