Officier de l'Ordre des Palmes Academiques

John Loughlin was designated an Officier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the  National Ministry of Education of the Republic of France on January  11, 2010. This distinguished award is given to those who have made a  major contribution to French education and culture. John was honored  for his distinguished academic career devoted to European politics,  his tireless contribution to the diffusion of the French language and  culture in the United Kingdom, and his extensive publications on France.
