The annual June Ball will take place at the Badia Fiesolana on Friday 14 June 2013.
Doors open at 8.00pm.
At 8.45pm the EUI choir will perform in the Lower Loggia, followed by the Coppa Pavone awards ceremony to crown the winners of the annual football tournament. From 9.30pm to 11.00pm a trio of rock bands will play in the Lower Loggia: Presi Goes to Seattle, The Burning Tower and Marii & The Machine Heads. Meanwhile classic, jazz and tango will be performed on the Mensa terrace up until 11.30pm.
The Cloister will be filled with a samba band, Batucadaagogo, from 11.00pm to midnight, after which revellers can move to the Mensa or Bar Fiasco where the party will continue.
Tickets will be sale on from Friday 7 June until 7.00pm on Thursday 13 June. They can be bought at the Badia Fiesolana shop/reception, at the porters’ lodge of Villa Schifanoia and, until 5.00pm each day, at the porters’ lodges of Villa La Fonte, Convento di San Domenico and Villa San Paolo.
Tickets cost €12, including drinks and finger food, and €6 for children aged three to 12 years old. Entrance is free for children under three years old; part of the overall ticket proceeds will be given to the EUI researchers’ welfare fund.
Tickets are personalised and so ID must be presented on arrival; all members of the Institute can buy one ticket for themselves and another for a named guest. The ticket limit does not apply to children of EUI members, although they must have a named ticket and an ID document.
No entry will be allowed after midnight.
