During her graduate studies she carried out research on international macroeconomics and labour economics, received a Master degree in Economics from CORIPE Piemonte (2003), and worked as a teaching assistant in the Faculties of Economics and Political Sciences. In 2007-08 she was a Max Weber Fellow affiliated to the Department of Economics of the European University Institute. Since 2008 Dr. Lo Prete is research fellow and lecturer at the University of Turin. Dr. Lo Prete main fields of interests are international macroeconomics, the macroeconomic aspects of labour market institutions’ interference with economic activity, consumption risk-sharing. Her current research focuses on modelling and documenting in cross-country panel datasets the relationships between government policies, economic integration and finance; the investment and savings implications of labour market reforms for countries’ current accounts under imperfect financial markets; the role of structural features of labour and credit markets in shaping cross-country consumption responses to country-specific income shocks.
