Biography

I graduated with distinction from the Moscow Lomonosov State University, Law Faculty in 1995.
From 1996 to present I have been teaching at the University of Regensburg, Germany and at the Law Faculty of the Moscow State University. As a scientific assistant at the Law Faculty of the University of Regensburg I offered courses  on the relations between the Russian Federation and the European Union, introduction to the Russian constitutional law, selected problems of the EC institutional law.
From 2000 as a lecturer in the interdisciplinary University Programm “Das Ost-Wissenschaftliche Begleitstudium” I have been teaching introduction to the constitutional law and constitutional development in the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe, EU enlargement and relations between Central and East-European countries and the European Union, integration theory and promotion of the european constitutionalism beyond EU borders.
At the Moscow State University within the Programm “Deutschsprachiger Studiengang” supported by DAAD I offered lectures on the institutional law of the European Union, relations between the European Union and the Central and East-European countries and impact of acquis communautaire on the Russian legal order and the integration of the accession states.
From 2005 I was appointed as a lecturer in the Elite Studiengang “Ost-Europa Studien” of Universitites of Munich and Regensburg. I offered courses on the EU and East-European legal development, EU -neighbourhood politics, legal methodology.


From 1996 to the present I have been responsible for the academic cooperation between the University of Regensburg and the Moscow State University and management of academic grants and scientific programms.
From 1996 to 2006 I am proud to hold: the full scholarship of Columbia University, the full Scholarship of the European University Institute for the participation in the Summer School, the full Scholarship of the Hague Academy of International Law, in this period of time I completed trainings at the European Parlament and the Court of Justice of the European Communities.
In 2006 I successfully completed my Ph.D. thesis at the University of Regensburg, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rainer Arnold. My thesis on the sovereignity doctrine in the context of the european integration process and development of governance standards was awarded magna cum laudae by the professors council of the Law Faculty.
I pursue research and teaching in the following areas: globalisation and integration process in Europe, institutional law of the European Union, comparative analisys of the East- and West-European integration, relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation. Currently my research interests are focused on the neighbourhood politics of the European Union and the influence of the democratisation process and adaptation of general constitutional standards and norms in the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe on the European constitutional process.
