Biography

I earned my Ph.D. between 2002-2009 in the History Department at NYU, where I worked with Tony Judt, Frederick Cooper, Herrick Chapman and Zachary Lockman. My dissertation focused on the discourse of economic development and modernization in the politics of the French League of Nations Mandate in Syria-Lebanon between the World Wars.
