Biography

Madeleine Dungy completed her PhD in History at Harvard University and an MSt in British and European History at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on the history of international institutions with an emphasis on Europe.  Madeleine’s doctoral dissertation, ‘World Economy and World War: European Trade Politics, 1900-1930,’ traced the emergence of competing models of international economic order during and after the First World War. She is currently developing a new research project examining tensions between free trade and labor mobility in the League of Nations.As a PhD student, Madeleine helped teach undergraduate courses in international history.
