His research interests are in macroeconomics, with a special focus on issues related to financial markets and industrial organization. His PhD in Economics at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona), was under the supervision of Fernando Broner and Jaume Ventura (2018). He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Porto (2011) and an MSc in Economics from the Barcelona GSE (2012). During his PhD, he worked as a research assistant for Prof. Jaume Ventura. More personally, Francisco was born in Porto (Portugal) in 1990. He moved to Barcelona in 2011, and lived there for almost seven years. He speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish and is currently learning Italian. Francisco has been a teaching assistant to his two advisors and taught a variety of courses in macroeconomics, international trade and finance and mathematics and statistics.
