Eunjeong Paek earned a PhD degree at the University of Southern California in 2022. Her dissertation examines how changing labour markets affect family-friendly policies with a focus on technological advances, union decline and demographic shifts in the labour force. She also studies the stratification of women's employment from cross-national perspectives, the relationship between family-friendly policies and gendered workplaces, and the intersection of family transition and labour outcomes.

Eunjeong's work has been published in Work, Employment and Society, Community, Work & Family, American Sociological Review, European Sociological Review and Population and Development Review.
