His Excellency Christian Masset, the French Ambassador to Italy, visited the EUI on Friday 6 July.
The Ambassador met with President Renaud Dehousse and the Secretary General Vincenzo Grassi, and heard a presentation on the Institute's School of Transnational Governance from its Director, Professor Miguel Maduro. Also present were the Honorary Consul of France to Florence and Director of the French Institute of Florence, Isabelle Mallez; the Ambassador's Political and Cultural Advisors Jonathan Cordier and Christophe Musitelli; and Sebastien Huber, Special Advisor to President Dehousse.
In the afternoon, His Excellency met with the French members of the EUI's faculty, staff and researcher communities and then toured the Historical Archives of the European Union.
