Claire Kilpatrick appointed Dean of Graduate Studies

Claire Kilpatrick, Professor of International European and Social Law, is now Dean of Graduate Studies at the European University Institute.  She succeeds Professor Martin Scheinin, who served as dean from January 2016 until January 2019.

Among other responsibilities, the Dean of Studies liases with the academic departments on all academic matters related to teaching and supervision, and is a reference point for doctoral researchers in coordination with the departmental Directors of Studies.

Remarking on her new role, Professor Kilpatrick states ‘I look forward to working with colleagues and doctoral researchers across the EUI to make further improvements to our already excellent doctoral programme.’
