New Course: Italian for Beginners

The new beginner courses will run twice a week for 8 weeks starting Monday 23 January at 13:30, in Villa Raimondi, sala 1.

During the first four weeks we work on introducing course participants to the language and customs of Italy. A particular emphasis is placed on the situations, both everyday and academic, in which members of the EUI community are likely to find themselves.

Objectives of the course

• to reach level A1/A2 of the Common European Framework (Waystage)
• to acquire the basic tools for the purposes of practical communication at a survival level
• to interact in Italian everyday situations
• to gain insight into Italian life and culture
• to acquire the basic structures of Italian grammar
