Director

Sergio Puig De La Parra

Sergio Puig de la Parra is a specialist in international economic law, holding the Joint Chair at EUI and directing the Max Weber Programme since March 2025. He earned his degrees from ITAM and Stanford, practiced law in Mexico and the U.S., and worked for the World Bank.
A former Stanford professor, he co-founded TradeLab and has co-edited the Journal of International Economic Law since 2020.
His research covers investment and trade law, business and human rights, and globalization.
