Would you like to create or enhance your academic cv?
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to update and format your resumé for academic job applications.
We will look at best practices from various geographical contexts.
Please bring the most recent version of your cv with you and a device to use to edit your resumé.
- 5 March 13.30 – 15.00: Crafting Compelling Cover Letters for Academic Jobs
Do you struggle to promote yourself or synthesize your experience into a cover letter for job applications?
This workshop will give you the opportunity to look at examples of standout cover letters for academic jobs and craft your own. We will look at best practices from various geographical contexts.
Please bring the most recent version of a cover letter with you, a device to use to edit your letter, and any job advertisements that you would like to apply to.
- 12 March 13.30 – 15.00: Managing Your Online Profile
Do you know what comes up when your name is searched online?
In this connected world, it is important to control and manage your online profile, particularly as you publish, look for work, and engage in public and academic activities.
This workshop will look at ways to enhance your online profile through applications such as LinkedIn, Bluesky, Substack, and Google Scholar, as well as personal websites.
Please bring a device with you to access the internet and the various applications.
- 19 March 13.30 – 15.00: Effective Email Communication in English-language Environments Do you get the desired response to the emails you send?
Do you struggle to communicate clearly in writing?
This workshop will look at the “Dos” and “Don'ts” of professional email communication, as well as ways to communicate in an assertive manner in English.

Are you new to academic interviews and want to know what to expect?
Thanks to the support and recent experiences of current EUI Fellows, Dr. Alexander Mesarovich and Dr. Gian Paolo Meneghini, this workshop will delve into what you can expect on the academic job market and how to perform your best.
Examples and experiences shared come from a variety of geographical contexts.

Do you have questions about teaching talks or research presentations for job competitions?
