Summer Offering 2024: Online Writing Dates
Every Monday and Thursday at 10:00am-12:00pm from July 1st to August 1st, 2024
Do you have a deadline approaching? Are you planning on writing throughout the summer?
The idea of online writing dates is simple. We will meet in a shared space, and everyone advances their own writing, with the camera on. The time is fully dedicated to writing, all distractions eliminated.
The sessions are open to all EUI community members – if you need to get writing done, you are welcome to join! Writing dates can improve your productivity and help maintain a steady writing routine. You can use them to invigorate your writing during the “quiet” weeks of the summer.
The magic is that everyone commits to writing together. We often fail in our private plans to write, because there is too much isolation with no accountability.
This is an effortless, yet efficient, type of peer support. You will create an opportunity to make progress with your writing, and offer support to others simply by being present.
As the facilitator, I will take care of time use and breaks. You will need to come with a specific text to focus on, and the commitment to dedicate these two hours only to writing. Make sure you are in a place where you are able to work without distractions.
You are welcome to attend every session, or just some. When attending, you are expected to commit to the full two hours of writing.
