The talk will look at the policy context, implications and residual impact of a movement which aimed to transform SA's tertiary education sector and also reclaim promises made in the post-apartheid era.
Kesaobaka Pharatlhatlhe – Focusing on Regional Economic Communities
The talk will focus on why tackling youth unemployment in Africa through Regional Economic Communities (REC’s) could work by focusing on 3 REC’s (ECOWAS, EAC and SADC). The talk will briefly give an overview of the youth unemployment context at the three sub-regions, available policies and challenges, rationale for a regional approach and conclude with implications.
