Trade and climate change are both global-scale issues. But what is their connection? Trade is fostered by trade policies, which are also tightly connected to the dynamics of climate change. In this context, the EU-funded 'Trade Policies Climate' project will investigate how climate change influences trade in terms of volumes, values and patterns. It will also explore how trade policies are likely to evolve due to climate change. The research will focus on the effects of climate change on trade and trade policies by analysing the links between trade and climate change, and it will quantify the impacts. The project will also identify the path dependencies in trade, trade regulations and climate change Contact(s): Mia Saugman Scientific Organiser(s): Fabio Santeramo (European University Institute) Speaker(s): Fabio Santeramo (European University Institute)
