The relationship between Great Britain and the rest of Europe is constantly evolving – socially, politically, economically, diplomatically, and strategically.
The potential for conflict with Russia, the status of Northern Ireland, and the disruption of trade and supply chains make the headlines. But the impact of Britain’s departure from the European Union on the politics of both sides of the Channel may matter more for longer-term developments, particularly as any political changes filter down into personal experiences, interactions, and identities.
The purpose of this panel is to ask what the future has in store for Britain in Europe and to consider whether and how the events of today may have a lasting impact.
