The European Union and other countries have imposed an unprecedented number of economic and financial sanctions against Russia in the wake of its aggression against Ukraine. Thorsten Beck (Director, Florence School of Banking and Finance) and Sony Kapoor (Part-time Professor, Robert Schuman Centre of Advanced Studies) will discuss the different tools that the EU has been using, their effect on both Russia and EU and what else can be done.
