Morten Rasmussen (University of Copenhagen) and William Phelan (Trinity College Dublin) will act as discussants. In this online seminar, Amedeo Arena presents the work of Nicola Catalano, influential Italian Eurolawyer, judge and scholar.A key figure and member of the drafting committee for the Treaties of Rome, Catalano is especially recognised for his role in the drafting of the EEC Treaty’s preliminary ruling procedure. The seminar will focus on this latter work, the debates it inspired, and its subsequent interpretation by the European Court of Justice. Morten Rasmussen and William Phelan will act as discussants.
