The Banque de France (BdF) and the Pierre Werner Chair at the European University Institute are organising a joint conference that will take place in Paris on 11 September 2023. The conference will cover a variety of themes related to the new directions in academic research and their policy implications. These topics include (but are not limited to):Dollarisation and the Global Financial CycleSovereign risk and monetary policyInternational spillovers and coordination of monetary policyAdjustment in relative prices and terms of tradeThe return to secular stagnationA call for papers is open for scholars to present their research on the matter. The deadline for submissions is Thursday 1 June 2023Both theoretical and empirical papers are suited, and applications using euro area data are particularly welcome.Papers or extended abstracts can be submitted to the following email address: [email protected]Authors of successful submissions will be notified by 10 June. Travel reimbursements in economy class will be available to participants from academic institutions (up to 450 Euros).
