Led by the STG Fellows, the talks are a place for informal learning and exchange on global issues affecting different areas of policymaking. Beyond growing the technical aspects of policy leading and influencing, one should remember that policies are implemented by and for people. Often, actors in the policy ecosystem focus on hard technical skills, including intense research and creating strategies for policy influencing and implementation. One key aspect always shadowed is the power of human connection and its vitality in enabling policy-influencing processes. The session will unlock the applied knowledge of human-centered tools for effective policy influencing and understanding human emotions as a policy practitioner.Speakers: Carolyn Kandusi, Policy Leader FellowNoga Arikha, Visiting FellowModerator: Apiwe Hotele, Fellow in Young African Leaders ProgrammePlease note this is an in-person event.
