In this talk, Davide Viviano will present methods for evaluating and designing experiments with network spillovers. He will first provide a method to choose the optimal clustering in cluster experiments. He will then illustrate its properties from a theoretical perspective and empirically using unique data from the universe of Facebook users. Prof. Viviano will then present an experimental design to choose optimal policies in the presence of spillovers and he will discuss the theoretical properties of the method and its applicability in an experiment on information diffusion with over 400,000 participants, implemented in rural Pakistan.Co-author: Jessica Rudder, Becker Friedman Institute for Economics, University of Chicago Contact(s): Chiara Masini (EUI - Department of Economics) Scientific Organiser(s): Prof. Fabrizia Mealli (EUI - Department of Economics) Speaker(s): Prof. Davide Viviano (Harvard University)
