During the Age of Revolutions, political objects performed a primary political function. They even experienced a "second life" at the end of the events which generated their birth and dissemination. They made their way into private or public collections, activating memory and commemoration circuits which contributed to defining collective identities. In some cases they were at the heart of intense promotional and popularisation activities involving various subjects.
