Dr. Oksana Leukhina will present her work on gaps in the access to college in the U.S., emphasizing the role of family background and the impact of college in intergenerational mobility. Dr. de la Vega will present her work on the asymmetric responses of workers to shocks to the health of the parents, which she finds to crucially depend on the services provided by the government for senior care.This event is organised by the Inequality, Welfare and Social Justice interdisciplinary research cluster.
