The event will focus on how gender affects various areas of life, including education, work, and family. Moreover, discussions will explore how gender is related to opportunities in education and the labour market, how it shapes family responsibilities and social mobility, and how it is connected to fertility and citizenship rights. In particular, the workshop aims to foster critical discussions that bridge empirical research with theoretical perspectives, advancing our understanding of how gender and related social norms influence individual and collective experiences across different societal contexts. During the workshop there will be a keynote address by Libertad González entitled, 'Are Men’s Attitudes Holding Back Fertility and Women’s Careers? Evidence from Europe'.
