Anastasia Remes, a PhD graduate of the EUI’s Department of History, has produced an interactive, virtual reality exhibit based on her dissertation research.
‘The European Community at EXPO 58’ is now available in all 24 languages of the European Union, and may be experienced through VR googles at the Historical Archives of the European Union.
The experience is a fascinating glimpse of how academic research can be transformed into a public history exhibition.
The exhibit and goggles will remain available to the public until 17 January 2025, every afternoon from 13:30 - 15:30. The interactive, self-guided tours take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
All are welcome - please drop in at the HAEU's lobby for this novel public history experience!
The Archives thanks Professor Nicolas Petit from the EUI's Department of Law for making virtual reality headsets available for the tour.
