Follow this timely online debate exploring Poland's evolving role in the EU during its 2025 Presidency of the Council, highlighting its potential to address the Union's leadership challenges.

This event will feature a presentation of the policy brief 'A new leader for Europe? Shifting paradigms in Poland's EU policy' by Piotr Buras and Michal Matlak, published by the EUI Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. The discussion will explore the report’s findings in the context of Poland's evolving European policy and its implications for the EU’s future. Following comments from the speakers, an open discussion will bring together approximately 25 participants, including think-tank experts and policymakers from Brussels, Warsaw, and Kyiv.

The event, featuring Rt.Hon. Ignacy Niemczycki, Polish State Secretary for European Affairs, is co-organised with 'Review of Democracy', the online journal of the Democracy Institute at CEU,  the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, the Foundation Schuman (Paris) and the Zentrum fur Liberale Moderne (Berlin).
