The newly signed agreement between EUI and UNIBO represents a further step forward towards the ongoing commitment for internationalisation and excellence of our academic programmes.
The University of Bologna is the most ancient university in the world and a leading public academic institution. The academic cooperation agreement signed by the two universities aims at fostering various activities and exchanges in academic education and promoting research in areas of mutual interest, namely Economics, History and Civilisation, Law, and Social and Political Sciences.
The EUI and UNIBO will work together to develop a series of joint educational and research activities and initiatives, including workshops and executive education trainings, as well as the mutual exchange of academic staff, researchers and students, whilst identifying and designing innovative research projects at the post-doctoral level.
Formally named Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna, the University of Bologna was founded in 1088. Currently, UNIBO has approximately 90,000 students attending to its more than 200 bachelor and master courses, as well as about 1,500 PhD candidates enrolled in its 48 PhD programmes. The University of Bologna is strongly committed to Research and Innovation and it is one of the most active Italian universities in European and international R&I projects.
