In this episode of the #EUIResearch video series, Zeinab Aboutalebi, Assistant Professor at the EUI Department of Economics, discusses her research paper and project, funded by the EUI Research Council, entitled the ‘Diversity Paradox’.

Aboutalebi’s research sheds light on what happens within organisations and firms when the organisations are committed to promoting diversity, but their managers are not or, even worse, might work against the success of diversity-enhancing initiatives.

Zeinab Aboutalebi is Assistant Professor at the EUI Department of Economics. Aboutalebi’s main research interests are information economics, organisational economics, industrial organisation, game theory, and applied microeconomic theory. Her work particularly focuses on incentives and performance in organisations.
