Fabio Gaetano Santeramo, currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Schuman Centre, has recently been nominated Chair of the Executive Committee of the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC).
The IATRC is an important institution working on agricultural trade and trade policy and has the objectives of encouraging research, facilitation communication, improving public understanding and to enhance the quality of its research.
"My ambition is to serve the Consortium at the best of my capacity to promote the scientific debate on policy issues to promote equity, sustainability and efficiency in global trade of agricultural goods. I will put emphasis on major themes such as international cooperation on trade policies to fight climate change, and to better develop the global value chain."
In his role as Chair, Dr Santeramo will be responsible for the general affairs of the Consortium and for its financial affairs and accounts.
