Fernand Braudel Fellowships: special call to candidates from Widening countries

The European University Institute (EUI) has launched a call for applications to the Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships, in the framework of the EUI Widening Europe Programme.

The Departments of Economics, History, Law, and Political and Social Sciences at the EUI have launched a call for applications from candidates applying for a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowship in the framework of the EUI Widening Europe Programme, for the period of September-December 2024.

This special call for applications was launched in the framework of the EUI Widening Europe Programme, which is supported by contributions from the European Union and EUI Contracting States. The programme is designed to strengthen internationalisation, competitiveness, and quality in research in the Widening countries.

The Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships provide a framework for established academics with an international reputation to pursue their research at the EUI. Eligible candidates for the special call must hold the nationality of one of the countries listed below and be affiliated with a university residing in one of the following countries:

Inside the European Union: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

Outside the European Union: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo1, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, and Ukraine.

Please note that this is a special call for applications meant only for applicants fulfilling the specific eligibility criteria for this call and launched in the context of the EUI Widening Europe Programme. Candidates from other countries interested in a Fernand Braudel Fellowship at the Departments of Economics and Law can also submit their applications through the ongoing call for applications until 3 April 2024. Those interested in fellowships at the Department of History, or the Department of Political and Social Sciences should apply during a separate call with the deadline of 30 September 2024.
