Reflecting on the book's origin, Professor Stubb says: “The thought of writing the book came in 2020, and the idea was to write something about global politics and tech [...]. Then came COVID, and then came Ukraine - a shake-up of the current world order. And I had to go back to the drawing board.”
In the inaugural episode, Professor Stubb sets the stage for the series by providing viewers with a detailed overview of the key themes covered in this upcoming book. These themes are categorised under the headings of "the order of power," "the balance of power," and "the dynamics of power." Stubb aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of the complex forces that are currently shaping the global landscape.
