Open call for GIFI roster of experts

The Global Initiative on the Future of the Internet (GIFI) project invites qualified subject matter experts to apply to join the project’s roster of experts. Experts included in the roster may be contracted to support project implementation, in the form of:

  • Issue briefs: authoring short papers on critical issues related to the Declaration on the Future of the Internet (DFI).
  • Regional reports: Longer research papers focused on DFI-related issues in five regions (Africa, LATAM, MENA, Europe, Asia Pacific);
  • Country-specific input related to the DFI implementation: background research on how a country/region implements DFI principles.
  • Intellectual contributions to GIFI events (workshops, multistakeholder dialogues, conferences), including the development and drafting of concept notes, workshop materials, reports, or other knowledge products.

Prospective experts interested in joining the roster can submit their application on a rolling basis, with a clear indication of which of the five DFI principles for which their expertise is particularly relevant.

For more information on the selection criteria, the modalities, data protection and equal opportunities, please read the full Call text.

GIFI is a two-year project funded by the European Union to promote the Declaration for the Future of the Internet (DFI). Through a mix of policy support, multistakeholder implementation, and outreach activities with carefully selected target groups, coupled with peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and engagement, the GIFI project aims to contribute to promoting the Declaration for the Future of the Internet and support the implementation of its principles in a multi-stakeholder and rights-based approach.
