Over the next five years, the partnership between the EUI and UniFi aims to strengthen collaborative initiatives in the fields of social sciences and humanities, benefitting members of both academic institutions.
The two universities will work together to further create opportunities for the mutual exchange of faculty, researchers, staff, and master students at both institutions. The partnership also foresees the opportunity for EUI master students to undertake curricular internships at UniFi, as well as teaching opportunities for EUI doctoral candidates. Furthermore, the EUI and UniFi will collaborate on the organisation of workshops, conferences, executive education trainings, and joint research projects.
Under the renewed agreement, EUI and UniFi members will be granted access to the respective facilities for academic purposes, including the use of research and education laboratories, as well as access to the libraries and language courses at UniFi's Centro Linguistico di Ateneo.
The partnership will also foster the collaboration between the two European university alliances of which the UniFi (EUniWell) and EUI (CIVICA) are members.
The EUI is very keen to consolidate an already fruitful partnership with UniFi, and to positively contribute to the academic environment of the city of Florence.
The University of Florence is an important and influential centre for research and higher education in Italy, with 1,800 lecturers and internal research staff, 1,600 technical and administrative staff, and over 1,600 research assistants and doctoral students. With over 50,000 students, it offers a wide range of study programmes at various levels and in all areas.
