The collaboration with a prestigious partner institution such as the SNA will allow the EUI to strengthen its support activities in the training and education of public administrators.

More specifically, in the framework of the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, the institutions will collaborate in the fields of executive education and scientific research, including in the development of training programmes, events and academic exchanges, to benefit civil servants of public administration at different levels of governance, as well as EUI faculty, students, researchers and staff.

The signing of the Memorandum took place at the EUI Badia Fiesolana, where President of the Italian National School of Administration and former Italian Minister of Justice Professor Paola Severino was welcomed by EUI President, Professor Renaud Dehousse.

On the occasion of the signing, Professor Severino also visited the Historical Archives of the European Union at Villa Salviati. There, Archives Director Dieter Schlenker and archivists Agnès Brouet and Valérie Mathevon walked her through a series of specially-selected documents from the deposits, including photos and documents of Simone Veil and Romano Prodi, historical documents and photos from the founding of the EUI, historical documents from the collection of the Standing Conference of Rectors, Presidents and Vice Chancellors of the European Universities, and two decisions from the Court of Justice concerning Italy.
