Biography

Ahmed Elhashemy is a senior researcher at the “Future Center for Advanced Research and Studies” (FARAS). He has over 11 years of experience as a policy-oriented researcher in Egyptian ministries, think tanks, and regional organisations such as the League of Arab States and the Community of Sahel-Saharan States.
Ahmed holds a Master’s degree in Euro-Mediterranean Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cairo University, Egypt. He has published extensively on topics such as the development-security nexus in the Middle East, peace and conflict, and various dimensions of Euro-Mediterranean relations.
