Joined the Institute as a full-time professor in September 2013, coming from the University of Bologna, where he was a Professor in Economics. Before that he taught at Bocconi University (1992-1996) and was first a Jean Monnet Fellow (1997) and then a full-time professor (1997-2006) at the EUI.
He is a Starting Fellow of the European Association of Labor Economics (EALE) and a Research Fellow of CEPR, CESifo, IZA.
