Irene Rosa Di Ciommo is a seasoned professional with over nine years of experience in development finance, specialising in sustainability, financial inclusion, and climate finance. At the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, she focused on measuring impact, results, and evaluation to enhance project outcomes. Irene has also worked at the European Commission on public finance and budget support to Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDEs), at PwC on smart city solutions, and as a Sustainability Manager in a private debt impact fund. She holds an MRes in Economics from Bocconi University and UC-Louvain. Currently, as Policy Lead in Climate and Blended Finance, Irene drives private sector investment for the green transition in the UK and EMDEs, with a focus on clean energy, clean tech innovation, and industrial decarbonisation.
