Jacopo Bencini is a political scientist with extensive experience in climate diplomacy and UNFCCC negotiations. He has worked for the International Centre for Climate Governance and the German Development Institute - IDOS, among collaborations with the European Commission, African Union, Chatham House, and as advisor for civil society organisations. He has been delivering trainings on UNFCCC negotiations for RAI, ISPI, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Will Media, among others. Moreover, he has been serving as member of the City Council of his hometown in Italy for ten years. He has recently joined the Florence STG climate team as Research Associate on climate policymaking, evolution of carbon markets, and climate negotiations.
