Biography

Joanna Pandera PhD is an expert in European energy and climate regulations, energy markets, and renewable energy. She has experience in international climate negotiations (UNFCCC, EU) and has worked in government, academia, and international business. She served as Undersecretary of State in Poland's Ministry of Environment (2007-2011). She received her PhD in environmental sciences. Joanna has spent also a large part of her professional life working on energy, environment and climate in Germany.

Joanna is the Founder and President of Forum Energii, Poland’s first energy transition think tank. She also serves on advisory boards such as the European Council on Foreign Relations and co-founded the Polish Expert Council on Energy Security and Climate. She is a member of the Scientific Council in State Institute of Environmental Protection. She has authored and co-authored over 150 analyses and publications on energy transition. Recently, she joined the Florence STG team, specialising in social aspects of climate policy.
