Biography

Klaudia Majcher is a Research Fellow at the Global Governance Programme of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies. She is also affiliated with the Competition Law Hub as a Post-Doc Fellow and is a Senior Associate Fellow at the Brussels School of Governance at the Free University of Brussels (VUB).

Between 2020 and 2023, Majcher worked as an Assistant Professor in the Competition Law and Digitalization Research Group at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Before that, she was a Digital Policy Analyst at the European Political Strategy Centre, the in-house think-tank of the President of the European Commission in Brussels.

Majcher obtained her doctoral degree in 2020 from the VUB with a dissertation that examined the interactions between EU data protection and competition law in digital markets. She conducted parts of her doctoral research as a Visiting Scholar at the Center on Law and Information Policy at the Fordham University School of Law in New York.

Her research focuses on digital and green competition law, digital regulation, as well as interactions between competition law and other legal areas, including data protection. She has authored several peer-reviewed articles in legal journals and the book titled 'Coherence between Data Protection and Competition Law in Digital Markets' published by the Oxford University Press in 2023.
