The Cambridge History of Medicine
Lauren Kassell is Professor of History of Science at the Department of History at the European University Institute and Professor of History of Science and Medicine at the Department of History and Philosophy, University of Cambridge.She is a historian of science and medicine, with expertise focused on everyday medicine and the occult sciences in early modern England, extending to the history of generation and reproduction, and encompassing digital humanities. As General Editor of The Cambridge History of Medicine, 6 Volumes, she is leading an ambitious and inclusive reassessment of the field. Her new project, How to Live Forever, asks how understandings and realities of ageing and the end of life have changed through history.
