Biography

Lucas Cechetto has over a decade of professional experience, with seven years focused on renewable energy. His expertise encompasses electricity market design, energy regulation, risk management, and mathematical optimisation. As a Senior Analyst for Regulatory and Market Affairs at ENGIE, Lucas led an R&D project advocating for a comprehensive market redesign in Brazil, proposing a transition from a cost-based dispatch to a price-based model.
Lucas holds a BSc in Electrical Production Engineering and is currently pursuing an MSc in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with expected completion in early 2025.
