Biography

Michele Mazzoni is a Senior Officer in the Benchmarks Team at ESMA (Conduct Supervision and Convergence Department). His primary responsibility is the supervision of the Euribor administrator, EMMI. From 2021 to 2023, he managed the Secretariat of the industry Working Group on Euro Risk-Free Rates. Michele joined ESMA in 2013, focusing on policy tasks related to the EU Market Abuse and Short Selling Regulations. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank Investment Bank in London and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. Michele holds a Master of Science in Finance from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).
