Sarah Grattan is a Jean Monet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European University Institute (EUI). She holds her PhD in European Social Policy from the EUI and has previously held a postdoctoral position at New York University. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at University College Dublin, the American College Dublin, the University of Birmingham and Gonzaga in Florence. In addition to her university experience, she has worked at the Cooperative Research Centre’s Association in Australia where she undertook various research reports and governmental submissions. Her research interests and areas of expertise include European social policy, health and education policy and models of governmental research funding. At the Schuman Centre she will be conducting research on the Cooperative Research Centers model of funding, exploring how it can be adapted to a European context.
