Biography

Wenhao Li completed his PhD in Economics at Pennsylvania State University. His primary research interests lie in the area of microeconomics theory including game theory and industrial organization.

As a Max Weber Fellow, he will continue to study the role of internet platforms in the economy. In the modern economy, big internet platforms serve as transaction intermediaries between consumers and sellers and collect enormous amounts of data about consumers. A major focus of his research is to understand the power that big data grants to internet platforms in shaping downstream seller competition, consumer choices and market outcomes. Wenhao’s second interest is to understand the challenges faced by organizations in their decision processes.
