Research project Syria transition challenges In light of the deadlock of the negotiations on the Syrian armed conflict, the project tackled the need for innovative thinking about approaches to the key challenges and generated ideas and inputs for the key actors, as well as possible options to deblock the discussions on key issues. Print Share on Facebook Share on X Share on LinkedIn Send by email Visit the dedicated Project Website → This project provided a space for informal dialogue on non-constitutional issues (refugees, reforms and reconstruction – henceforth referred to as ‘3R issues’) related to the conflict in Syria, with the objective of identifying possible commonalities and options to surpass areas of disagreement among key international actors.Working with influential and informed experts and institutions from key countries (the EU, Russia, Turkey and the US) along with Syrian experts, the project facilitated collaborative research and dialogue to explore the 3R issues and their linkages, as well as to identify and build common ground and confidence among participants.
