The Quantitative Methods Working Group at the European University Institute is a platform for discussing current topics in quantitative research. It was founded in 2015.
The group incorporates three types of sessions:
Presentation sessions: Participants present parts of their research informally, with a particular focus on methodology. This may be a paper draft but also any methodological issue or idea for a research design. If possible, a discussant will be assigned to each session.
Reading/discussion sessions: Participants agree on a topic/readings which are then discussed in the session. One topic will be assigned to each session, and two or three participants will give a short presentation of the papers and discuss them with the audience.
Workshops sessions: Specific topics in quantitative methods will be discussed by those who specialize in them, together with Q&A time.
